My ancient 64 GB iPod classic recently up 'n died, and happily I discovered volumio and made the change. I like it a lot!
I curated around 60 GB of music using tag/rename to get the album names and tags ironed out for efficient search - works great.
I’ve been involved with audio for about 50 years, designed tube amps as a hobby and enjoy restoring ancient music, in particular wax cylinders and ancient tapes. I’ve worked on computer audio systems for a large company named after a fruit.
