I’ve got a lot of Raspberry Pis on my home network, and I initially got my new HifiBerry Digi+ working by loading the various components (shairport, the music box front end to mopidy) onto my standard build. But I’ve switched over to Volumio because it’s easier to use and has working support for switching from playback to Airplay and back again, which other solutions didn’t.
I’ve configured monit to check the status of, and restart, all the daemons. So I don’t need player_wdog to run continuously, which avoids a fair amount of process creation and clear down. Is this worth feeding back?
