The MAMBOBERRY DAC + is a high-resolution digital-to-analog converter for the Raspberry Pi Model A+/B+ and 2B. This is a special sound card for the Raspberry Pi for best audio playback quality, and also a ultra low power supply ! with 1A power ability
It would have to be something really special since itβs 3 times more expensive than the HiFiBerry DAC (for example).
Which Sabre chip are you using for the DAC?
The board its a combo with complex design and a lot of expensive components , is not just a dac chip β¦
have ultra low noise linear power supply to feed the RPI also
so with just 6 volt AC transformer have a complete solution !
Practical its one I2S DAC , so you can connect any I2S source ! even any usb to I2S module like amanero , xmos , cm6631a, and other β¦
and in case of rpi B need external connection with cables via IO-PORT , in my opinion not worth the trouble , i think its better to find one RPI 2 and plugged up ,
