I use WinSCP to sync the external HDD plugged into my Pi with my native HDD on my notebook. When I ran the sync, I realized (with help from my son) that all the diacriticals were missing. My son works with Linux every day. He recognized that Volumio had no language setting. He went about fixing the problem by adding UTF-8 as part of the settings somewhere or other.
Just curious: when a major update rolls out, will I have to reset language in locale settings?
