Hello. Player is a RPi but was wanting a standalone network attached display for showing title and artist so I built this LED Matrix using an ESP8266 board I designed to plug right into the back of such displays. I can have more than one connecting to the API or display what’s playing from multiple Volumio Players. Displays status, source, and scrolls the title and artist across. I can stash the Pi near the amplifier and set this on the desk or hang on the wall.
Think it worked out OK.
