is iQAudio Pi-Dac supported in Volumio Beta 1.2?

I installed the Pi-Dac on my Raspberry Pi yesterday.

Using piCorePlayer it worked immediately after activating the i2s output from the web interface.

In Volumio, I activated the i2s driver in the System menu (“i2s on”) and rebooted, but the DAC is not recognized.
When I do an “aplay -l” in ssh, this is what I get:

root@volumio:~# aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: sndrpihifiberry [snd_rpi_hifiberry_dac], device 0: HifiBerry DAC HiFi pcm5102a-hifi-0 []

Is this correct? I was expecting to read some “…Pi-Dac…” card, not HiFiBerry!
But, most important, I get no sound at all from the DAC.

Is there any specific config to be done that I’m missing?

…I found the answer… installing Beta 1.3 for Raspberry and finding the support for the iqaudio pi-dac.

The most difficult thing has been to find out that a beta 1.3 does exist!! In fact in the home page, the default downloadable version for Raspberry pi is version 1.2… and it’s not evident at all that there is already a 1.3 available on sourceforge.

Just a note… communication is key… not only on AudioReview… :smiley:
