This is a known problem because of the old kernel, drivers and firmware.
There will be no updates that would fix that.
In case you want a Volumio 3 beta, you could download
Volumiobuster-3.077-2021-05-20-x86_amd64
It is a stable version, covers most features but has no plugins.
Try it to see if this solves your network issues.
Note: there will a new beta release arriving soon.
