Integrated DAC or external?

I’d forgotten that! Even with the Wharfedale speakers it will outshine nearly every sound bar for sound quality

Well thanks a lot for this detailed observation, in this hard times I want to pay only once and be sure. But now I am
I do not want understood how to conect the TV on e30 and to volumio?
Regards s
Florin

Most recent TVs will have an optical output socket on the back of the TV. Use a Toslink optical cable to connect to the optical input of the e30. Select optical on the e30 remote to hear TV sound. You may need to do something like ‘select 2 channel PCM audio’ in the menu for the audio options on the TV. Otherwise you might get a default option, incompatible with the DAC, which will come out as an unpleasant noise. Best check with the volume set low!

Select usb to return to Volumio.

Ideally place speakers either side of TV, fairly close to the TV at about the same height as the TV for good sound.

Now I got it,
Thanks

Another advantage of a external DAC with volume control like the E30 would be that you could in time upgrade your amp to an power amplifier like for example an hypex one. Fairly cheap but better and more powerful. Your speakers though will always be your most important part of the chain. Good luck with your gear and music listening .

Hi friends
If I suppose to upgrade speakers what will be 1 level or 2 level above wharfdale 9.1?
Regards

Both the Wharfedale speakers and the Marantz amp are excellent products in their respective price ranges, but with an amplifier it is quite normal to spend 2X or 3X more on the speakers than the amp. So if you have some money for an upgrade the loudspeakers would be the first to look at, just as you suggest.
Loudspeakers are the most subjective part of any hifi system and nothing beats going to a good hifi shop where they are prepared to let you listen to many different speakers. Perhaps even take along your Marantz!
It is always worthwhile to think carefully about placement of your speakers in your room and your listening position. If these aren’t got right even the most expensive hifi won’t sound good. There are several guides on the web to help you here.

Thanks,
You said something about hypex power amplifier, this is hat or an external amplifier…, I never heard about hypex, sorry
Regards

Hypex make class D (PWM) amplifier modules. They sell these to those who wish to do a DIY amplifier build and also to small scale amplifier manufacturers to do their own build. They also license the design schematic to the likes of NAD.

https://www.hypex.nl/

Originally designed by Bruno Putzeys who then moved on and improved the amplifier in his own company with a similar business model

Companies that offer assembled amplifiers for both hypex and purifi include apollon and Nord. Buying one of these amplifiers is quite a major step up and if you do decide to go down this route loudspeakers to match become quite expensive! Also without a preamp you will lose analog inputs into your amplifier which might be an issue

Many of these amplifiers need a balanced feed from the preamp or in your case the DAC. The e30 does not offer this. If you wish to go down this route you may need to research this before proceeding

Hi,
No, I will remain on known devices :). Marantz topping and so on. I just ask only for information.
One question please
What USB cable to use topping e30, and coaxial one or rca between amp and dac
Please advice on medium ones… Not expencive
Thanks for you help and willing to support.

Expensive ‘Audio grade’ usb cables have no measurable advantage over a good usb from your computer store or perhaps amazon basics Usb cable. I know this is hard to believe but take a look at this:

For the rca phono leads buy a pair of leads with good solid plugs which look as if they are going to grip the phono socket on the amp or DAC very firmly. I haven’t bought any recently but again my thought would be not spend too much. The less expensive leads from QED look well made and certainly spending more is unlikely to give any advantage whatsoever. I wouldn’t spend any more than this and you may decide to spend less.
With all leads the shortest length is best providing it allows you place the dac and amp where you want

Interconnects for audio are in an area where there is often more superstition than science and there are plenty of skilful sales people out there anxious to empty your wallet! The profit margins here are very tempting.

Hi,
How is called a interconnect cable with only rca male connector atached. The other end I will solder it to a female rca connector, I want to buy it :frowning: I can not find it…
Thanks

You probably would need to look for an extension cable. RCA Extension M-F or similar.
Googling “rca extension cable male to female” found many.
Other wise buy a made M-M cable and cut one end off and substitute the female RCA line socket.
Or but some shielded audio cable and the RCA line plug and line socket and make it yourself.

Hi,
I though I can find one with only one end rca connectora, not to buy a complete one and to cut the other end :frowning:

Hi,
You make me laugh
I want a cable similar to that, if can be found on the market without cut the pet with female connector

Like that one that connects to digi one board then to rear panel.

I’m glad you enjoyed the LMGTFY link
Most of the RCA to bare wire assemblies are to unshielded speaker cable (to allow subwoofer connections to speaker terminals).
But I did find this

I can’t understand your objection to just cutting on end off a cable.

Ok
Now my last question, what are some medium interconnects cable, because I found a lot of products :(, just 2 3 products name…
Thanks

Without knowing where you live it seems hard to link to specific things.
