How to Change Volume Steps for IR Remote Use

Hello. I am using volumio with a Flirc IR remote controller set up. I have SSH enabled so perhaps there is a simple string of code to accomplish what I am trying to do.
Basically, when I press the volume buttons, the volume on volumio is attenuated in steps of 10. Ideally I would like to change this to 2 or 5 per button press.
Any ideas?

Not seeing this as an option. Is this only for hardware mixer?

No, it’s on software mixer too. (I’m using V.2.882)
