How many devices on one network

Hello, I’d like to know if there is a limit of how many RPis running Volumio can be on a single network? I’m experimenting a setup for an office building with ten zones, each with its own RPi + volumio. I only have two RPis in my office to experiment with, and I see them listed along the bottom of the home screen under Multiroom Devices. I’d like to be sure I can deploy ten devices on my client’s network. Thank you.

Hi rstudio,

This is depending on the subnet mask you are using.
With standard 255.255.255.0 you can run 253 Volumio devices (if you dont need other networked stuff like pc or printers etc. :wink: :wink:
With - for example - 255.255.252.0 you can run about 1000

Thanks. So the amount of devices that would show up in the Multiroom List is only limited by whatever the ip address limit is.
