Hi. I was curious about how long the Pi hardware will be supported. Obviously at present the Pi4 is the latest but will older Pi models (Pi2 and Pi3) exist. Is there a release schedule/roadmap for when certain hardware will become unsupported please?
Pi3 should be fine, but for the older Pi (and Pi0 that uses the same cpu) things might get a little tricky.
My 0.2 cents – as the Volumio and the pi platform evolves, it might be prudent at some point that we switch from the one-image-for-all-pi’s to may two, one for the older armv6/7 based boards and one for newer ones.
