HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro not recognized?

I have Volumio 3.198 on RB Pi 4,and HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro. I am not sure the DAC is recognized. When looking at playback settings I see “Adafruit MAX98357”, and the command
aplay -l

gives

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: b1 [bcm2835 HDMI 1], device 0: bcm2835 HDMI 1 [bcm2835 HDMI 1]

If I select (as it should be) as output device HifiBerry DAC+ Pro, I get the “alsa” error. If I keep Adafruit I get no errors but no sound either.

Hi @frnz65, that’s odd. I have the same board, here is what my settings look like.

Has it ever worked for you. Or is this a new problem?

It’s my first setup, so it never worked before. I have just tried to install HiFiBerry OS, and with that the card works, I mean I hear sound.

I re did the whole installation and it works. Thanks.
