I connected my new HiFi Berry DAC, and followed the instructions at www.hifiberry.com/products/dac/first-steps. After editing /etc/modules and rebooting, I was able to see the device with aplay.
Then I activated i2s in Volumio settings, rebooted, and now the device no longer shows up in aplay. And I can’t play any audio. What happened?

Don’t activate i2s from volumio gui, just edit modules.

Thanks, that seems to work. Although it contradicts the instructions from both Volumio and HiFiBerry.
