Hi, I operate True Vinyl Alternative free internet radio and I’m a big fan of portable play hi-res audio. This weekend I implemented VolumIO OS on a Raspberry Pi 2 with the purpose to have a portable solution with plug-and-play USB DACs (AQ Dragonfly, LH Labs Geek, Herus, Oppo HA-2, etc…) plus the ability to access 500GB+ of USB hi-res storage. So far it was a great experience getting up and running thanks to Volumio – so far I only tested with the Dragonfly and it’s sounding fantastic.
I’ll be asking questions in this forum on various topics as I try to work out a standalone version of Volumio with a display – also looking to try bluetooth control and other improvements.
