I wanted to make my stereo “network ready” - so after several months of reading articles and reviews I stumbled upon a posting at amazon where someone mentioned volumio so I began to read about this … I bought a hifiberry-bundle with DAC+, an EDIMAX WLAN-stick (which arrived yesterday), downloaded the volumio image - everything works out of the box ! That is great for me as I am relatively new to Linux. Of course I have some questions. I will post them into the appropriate forums.
