Hi I’m Coop (known as Pepijn in the analog world). I’m a music junkie. I listen to a lot of different genres, but mostly Metal, Classical, Soundtracks and Electronic.
Just started with Volumio yesterday. I’m running it on a Atom-based Mini-ITX system with 2GB of RAM and a 60GB SSD, which was pretty useless otherwise as it has one of those wretched PowerVR based chipsets. The audio output is done via an Objective DAC.
I’m just getting to know Volumio, and so far it seems a little better than my previous setup (which was a setup running VLC in headless mode controlled via an Android app. Worked fine most of the time, but was a bit finicky for my better half to operate). Now all I have to do is try to get Wifi to work (F me for only having a Netgear WNA3100 with Broadcom chipset available).
