First off, thanks to all the people that made this project possible. I was rather amazed at how easily it all went together, considering I have no idea what I’m doing. I picked the Beaglebone Black, only because I had one, the Audiophonics DAC Sabre ES9023 because it was cheap. Now that my unit is up and running I’d like to learn more about the software components that make it all work. My question is what are the main linux audio parts that I should read up on? MDP, ALSA…??
I was able to figure out how to install the Volumio Image in the 2gig eMMC and used another 8gig flash card for my mp3 storage. Added references, so my FLASH storage would show on the network like the NAS and RAMDRIVE.
