I have been using volumio 2 with a Pi3+ and IQ audio digiamp+ for quite a long time now without any serious issues. My music library is stored on a Seagate USB hard drive which has it’s own power supply. The hard drive enclosure has some sort of software to put the drive into sleep mode after a period of inactivity. The problem I have is that if I leave everything powered up but don’t select or play music from the drive, - for instance when listening to radio, I find that I can not return to selecting music from the hard drive because it does not want to wake. I found that if I go into settings/my music/update music collection, I can wake the drive that way.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem. As far as I know the sleep mode of the drive can not be disabled.
