I have been interested in audio for decades and reading and posting about it on some of the Dutch audio forums.
About half a year ago I ran into an advertisement for a board called Raspberry Pi. I started reading about it and ended up ordering one, which is now behind my TV, running XBMC on OpenELEC, operated from my Ipad.
From one of the forums I learned that the Raspberry Pi can also be used for streaming audio, even at a high bitrate. That triggered my interest in Raspyfi, now changed into Volumio.org.
I bought a Pi-DAC and together they are now part of my audio setup (including a Marantz NA7004 and NAD C316BEE amplifier and NAD C515 CD player).
My nickname consists of my initials (HV), pronounced in the Dutch way.
