I have been comparing the sonic qualities of a RPI3/Piano 2.1 of FLAC files played off a NAS via 100Mpbs
and those local on a 128G USB Key.
There is a clear difference . A lot more haze and fatigue in the NAS source verse the 128G USB Key.
I don’t think I am the only to notice this difference.
This difference exists even with a maxed out prefetch buffer 12MB and 40%
Is there a feature to to completely prefetch the NAS file to a local RAM disk partition and then
play it from there?
