Error "Failed to open alsa"

Hi there,

I set up my new Raspberry Pi 4 with a Hifiberry DAC+ Pro and succesfully installed Volumio 2.714.

When I try to play music though I get the error message
Error
Failed to open “alsa” [alsa]: Failed to open ALSA device “hw1,0”: No such file or directory.

In an older thread someone had a similar problem in a different setup which could be solved be restarting I2S. This didn’t work for me.

Thanks for your help. Let me know how I can provide additional information to my problem. This is my first raspberry - excuses if I’m making some obvious mistakes.

I found out that I don’t get the error message when I select the Hifiberry DAC driver (despite definitely having a Hifiberry DAC+ Pro).

I don’t get any sound though after connecting the raspberry to my stereo.
