Display "Now playing" information on Waveshare 1.44inch LCD HAT

Dear Friends,

I have recently purchased a Waveshare 1.44 display hat (1.44inch LCD HAT - Waveshare Wiki). I’m using it with my Raspberry pi 4b with the latest version (2.917) of volumio.

Can somebody please guide me on how to drive the Now playing information to the display screen of the LCD and also to map the buttons for Play, pause and Next track. I use the spotify plugin as well as web-radios in Volumio.

Attached is the picture of the setup that I am using.

Volumio Information

Volumio Version: 2.917
Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB
DAC: External USB Dac (Fiio q1 and Hiby FC3)

you can use MDP_OLED for this, for V2.9xx:

For V3.xx follow these instructions.

Hi

Neither the current nor development version of mpd_oled support this display.
