Disable iq-audio dac plus infra-red control

I am using the iq-audio dac plus card and controlling the volume via the volumio socket-io api. However, the iq-audio software seems to be acting on the infra-red commands as well.

Does anyone know how to disable the iq-audio infra-red control?
