Does anyone know if this es9018 based i2s DAC would work with Volumio?

If so what would the connections be? It seems like a very cheap path to having the basis for a decent DAC but my RPI technical skills are brand new.
I’m currently using a Covia Edge USB dongle with ES9023. For the £10 it costs, to me it sounds fantastic.
