CuBox-i USB DAC problems?

Is anyone using a CuBox-i with a USB DAC? I read that there are problems like dropouts in the audio.

Are you sure? I heard back from the CuBox-I people and they said there is an issue. Here is the discussion of the problem:

I had cracks in the sound, similar to the ones from the RPi. But that was with volumio 1.2 and 1.3 with my Cubox-i2. I have not tested the new version of volumio yet.

But i will test the new version, i heard the spdif was fixed. Much thanks for that! :slight_smile:

I can share my experience : happy owner of a cubox-i4P with Volumio 1.4 freshly installed plugged to my DAC via USB, I cannot hear any crack or pop.
