Recently updated Volumio on Pi 3, and it won’t access external DAC through USB. Insured that my D10 DAC is selected in settings.

Have you tried disabling the DAC, saving and restarting, then enabling the dac, saving and restarting again?
A recent kernel update caused the sound outputs to get renumbered and while the update does try to update configuration transparently it can be tripped up sometimes.
