Hello everyone! I’m working on a running (and loved) Volumio setup with a RasPi 2 and a cheap USB DAC. What’s missing is a casting target for my Google (mostly Play) infrastructure. While adding Cast receiver functionality to Volumio seems a long-term undertaking, I might have a quick-and-dirty solution: There’s a Chromecast Audio lying around in my house and I’d like to wire it to my Volumio.
Would it be possible to hook-up the Chromecast to the audio-in of the USB DAC on the RasPi and then loop the sound directly through to the audio-out? Did anyone already do something like that? I’d be happy to get some hints what to do with the ALSA mixer!
