Interesting post ! :slight_smile:

In my case, my preference would be :

  • Artist = Artist + Album Artist
  • When we click on artist name, the album where he is declared as “Album Artist” appears only. And the tracks only where he is declared as “Artist” on other album appears too.

Would be great to have gestion of artist tag with several artists too (exemple : Artist1; Artist2) which would be splited as single artist in the artist list by volumio.

For me, the album has to be sorted by album artist only.

It is just my point of vue :slight_smile:

hello,asking for my dad,he got an issue with album and album artists.for some reason his volumio don´t show all tracks from one album in the “albums” view if there are more than one main album artist… pictures for better explaining :wink:

maybe the ‘’&’’ sign in the song name could mess with the song.
because special signs are used in programing.
