Allo BOSS 2 keeps failing with "Failed to open "alsa"

Volumio 3.301 with RPI3b+ and Allo BOSS 2 produces an alsa error. Other DAC HAT’s are fine on the same RPI. Setting for BOSS works, just not BOSS 2.
