After upgrading to 2.246, I experienced no sound through I2S / HifiBerry DAC. My hardware setup is RPI 3 + DIY PCM5102A DAC.
I follow advice of deactivate I2S - reboot - Reactivate I2S but does not work for me.
So I pull out SD card from the PI and plug into my Mac.
I’ve opened config.txt file and found 3 times at the end of the file as below :
Volumio i2s setting below: do not alter
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
Volumio i2s setting below: do not alter
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
Volumio i2s setting below: do not alter
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
So I’ve removed 2 of at the to have only
Volumio i2s setting below: do not alter
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
Plug in the SD card in the RPI and start up.
All is working now…
I’m not an experienced Linux user so I don’t now if it’s luck or it is really a way to fix the issue.
