Hi, I hope there’s no other thread addressing this topic yet.
I’ve got a Raspberry Pi B+ with HifiBerry and Volumio 1.51.
Most things are working well (a huge thanks to all developers. Well done!).
The most annoying problem I have concerns all my iTunes encoded files: On some tracks only the song titles are missing in the library view. On others the genre is missing too. In the playback view is only the filename shown without any tags. This is - especially in the library view - a pity.
This problem concerns only AAC songs. The tags of ALAC-files are all working perfectly. The same songs are working well with other MPD servers.
If someone would like to have look on such a song, I will send him one.
Thanks in advance for any hint, how to fix this problem!
Unfortunately this problem is still existing in Volumio 1.55.
The last Raspberry Pi version that displayed AAC tags correctly was 1.3Beta. All of the 1.5x versions can play AAC tracks, but can not display the tags.
Ok, so I’m at least not the only one with this problem.
Is it possible that this will be fixed in a future release? Because actually I don’t want to downgrade to 1.3beta… 
I confirm this is not working in 1.55 with tagged AAC files
I use my iTunes library as a basis and ran the files through picard renamer/tagger using Fedora 21
AAC files are not parsed by MPD, MP3 files are - see mediainfo below of two files and how they show up in volumio
anything I can do?
this does work using vanilla mpd install from raspian (the one I used before volumio) - any switch I missed / something I have to do?
